Levenshtein Distance

This is a bit out of topic from article marketing but I wanted to post it here because this is also relevant to providing free content to publishers the as fast as possible.

Part of the many tools iSnare provide is the search tool… The iSnare search is of course composed of algorithms to calculate results according to relevance, just like what many search algo’s would be doing…

Among the many complex functions, classes, procedures and calls the iSnare search algo also has a crude implementation of the Levenshtein Distance algorithm… It’s crude because it can hardly be felt that is being implemented at the moment…

Still trying my very best to hopefully get a good english dictionary available for free…

Anyway… for those who do not know what is Levenshtein Distance, read more about it here…

Hopefully, when the english dictionary is avialable I can make some improvements of the algo and possible provide a google like spelling suggestion… Even more is providing dictionary look ups for words in all articles.

I posted this here hoping that there would be someone who can point me to a place where to get an opensource english dictionary that’s of good quality…
