Scrapers!

This isn’t the first time I posted my concerns about these types of publishers. Though I have not implemented a fine penalty for those violating and abusing our service which is offered for free, I am reconsidering it again.

Every time we got hit by an abusive bot hundreds of dollars are thrown to trash. Not only in iSnare.com but also in other content sites not limiting to article directories.

Others are fighting back with technicals yet others just ignore and upgrade hardware. Well, that’s costly as our servers are very costly as of the moment already.

The penalty fine I am thinking of is USD$150,000 for violating and abusing the site. Admins including myself are on watch and monitoring our services but it ain’t enough, really! We cannot just ban every I.P. on earth, otherwise we will have no one to market to.

I have a number of great solutions in mind but I cannot print it here in this blog.

I just wish these type of publishers will realize we are not hiding our content to them and that there is no need for them to “scrape”. We have our Publisher Service that sends articles to them every minute interval every day!

I hope they too will cooperate with us so we can continue to give the content for free.
